Biography As my family established a new life in Turkey, I had the chance to attend Nursing School and graduated in 1961. Following graduation, I worked as a nurse at Eskisehir Tepebasi Isci Sigortalari Hospital. In 1963 my family moved permanently to America and we settled in New York. We had to start our lives all over again. As our new lives started in America, I worked in various jobs. Eventually I landed a job at Saks Fifth Avenue as an Alterations Manager for 17 years. I am currently retired. In my retirement years, my younger sister Remziye Molbayli, who was the founder of DOST was diagnosed with terminal illness. She worked continuously, despite the fact that she was ill, and helped schools find sponsors for children’s education, helped the elderly and children with illnesses. In her last days of living from her bed, she was still thinking of DOST and what she can do help for other people. She asked me to take on the responsibility to continue her work at DOST. She succumbed to illness and passed away in December 2006. I have taken on the responsibility as she requested as Chairwomen of DOST and I am continuing her work to help schools, children with their education, the elderly, needy families and the sick children. I was also an active volunteer for five years at the
American Association of Crimean Turks, in Brooklyn, New York. In addition,
I was head of the Women's Committee for 2 years, during this time
I organized many of the social activities for the Crimean Association.
